Jimmy John Liautaud spoke at a round table with Kellogg MBA students.
School of Management at Northwestern University, there are events, lunch & learns, and panels with leaders from all types of businesses. In 2017, Jimmy John Liautaud was asked to visit campus for a 1-hour roundtable, which turned into an engaging two hour conversation between Jimmy and the students.
Jimmy told the story of his journey and lessons he learned and how that complemented the students core curriculum. Afterwards, the students went around the room asking questions. He opened up about the hardships he faced in the beginning with managing money and how he pushed forward in the wake of tragedy. Throughout the talk, Jimmy highlighted a few key lessons: to be disciplined, recruit good leaders, and play where you can win.
